When someone asks us 'how are you?' we reply in a very formal manner 'fine.' without asking our innerselves 'are we really fine?' It's a biological functionality of the human mind to get used to whatever is happening in a routine manner. And that is the slack side of human nature. Anything happening, whether ethical or unethical, if is happening in daily life, we get 'used to' it. We meet corruption everyday and get used to it. We meet terrorism everyday and get used to it. I'm not sure it is so or not but it implies that we don't care for it. It implies we have no concern with whatever is happening. And if we are really concerned, we need to imply that.
