#32: A film of the lifetime...

Hi to all. Know what’s on your mind but let me confess, this ain’t also a promoting post for Maanas (Post production has just started so will do so at right time.) or this isn’t review of recently released No Problem or Band baaja baarat. “A film of the Lifetime…” is actually much more than any of the film. (Including mine ones too…) Wanna know what it is? Let’s find out. Let’s plan a movie for this weekend. (Know I’m posting this on Sunday so you can consider it for next weekends.) There’s no need to do advance booking in any multiplex or to turn on your home theatre or laptop to see this film nor you need to buy any pirated CD/DVD (which you either shouldn’t) to watch it and just not need to worry about your money for paisa vasool guarantee of the film. Trust me, its guaranteed paisa vasool. All set. This Sunday night (just a night before another hectic schedule for next week…) after your supper, start watching this film. (You’ll visualize a trailer too while reading this post.) Yo

#31: 70,00,000 crore and still counting on...!

First of all, sorry for not being frequent for your favorite contents. (my posts…! Ok that was (not) a PJ.) As I was busy for whole month of November in shoot of my fourth and upcoming flick Maanas. But I should not (why not?) use my popular blog site for marketing it. So will come directly (being a director) to the Point of Order. It is true that India is a developing country; we are developing a bigger scam at the end of every week. Looking at the news channels, it seems we need more branches of CBI than of SBI across country. Jokes apart, yes, I’m talking about the 2G deal/ A. Raja/ Nira Radia tapes and lots more beneath it. The sea level information is what you all have from news channels and I’m not a freelance reporter or a hard core media person to give you what others are not aware of. Still, making an analysis to what has been disclosed (which is only the tip of an iceberg), the names which are not highlighted yet (And which are needed to be given importance) are: former Tele

#30: Navratri's On...!

“Chapti bhari chokha ne ghee no chhe divdo, Srifal ni jod lai ne… Halo, halo Pavagadh jaie re…” What more you expect under casual category in the season of world’s largest Dance Festival. And not just a season of dance but a rooted religious reason for dance. Navratri…! A cultural festival that lasts for nine nights recites the significant nine forms of goddess as Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri. All are to be called one as Durga which is synonymous with Shakti or the Divine Power that manifests, maintains and makes over the universe as the unifying force of existence. Shakti also states the Absolute’s appearing as many (like nine above and many untold). God creates this Universe through Srishti-Shakti (creative power), preserves through Sthiti-Shakti (preservative power), and destroys through Samhara-Shakti (destructive power). Celebrated in different ways throughout India, Navratri comes majorly two t

#29: The name says it all _ CommonWEALTH...!

Imagine a scene. You have gone to see a world level competition of boxing or weightlifting. Participants come one after another and perform to their best. Stadium is as densely loaded of humans as an anthill of ants. And all of a sudden the heavy roof structure of the stadium falls down… Sounds not so good but it’s not so unreal too looking at the current trends by far. Welcome to the Commonwealth Games 2010, Delhi. The most happening topic to analyze, scrutinize and criticize India. [That is too for all so called intellectual brains, as always. Bloody hypocrites...] Even Twitter shows it as most trending topic now days. India’s twitter map also shows CWG, and #CWG as the top-most tweeted keyword, followed by ‘Kalmadi’, ‘Ayodhya’, and ‘Verdict’. And I guess for many hidden Kalmadis, the name is bit appropriate… The Common-WEALTH Games…! The games were meant to showcase India's emergence as a regional powerhouse. But long delays in getting facilities ready and a list of scandals

#28: Bang Bang Dabangg...

Hai muscular, hai popular, spectacular, he’s bachelor and this pappu can dance too salaa… The real man Sal-MAN khan is back with his home production Dabangg this time and I’m back in my category ‘I never criticize’ (not) to criticize another flick. Released on appropriate festival days, Dabangg’s promotion and marketing has been done Bang on target to make it most Wanted. None of the show on any of the channel is left without Salman or other cast/crew of Dabangg since last two weeks. (But we aren’t here to study the marketing funda so will move towards the review.) It’s Indian Robinhood Pandey and its magic that rules the screen. Dabangg makes all Salman Fans crazier than before. Vijayan has given his best of Action. Abhinav, brother of Anurag Kashyap is remarkable. Music is outstanding. Sonakshi is astounding than many plastic faced actresses of today and above all It’s one and only The Salman Khan that holds the movie on his wide strong shoulder. But what I would like to point ou

#27: And its not Crusade v/s Jihad

Dove World Outreach Center… A small, 50 member non-denominational charismatic Christian church in Gainesville, Florida has become famous worldwide all of a sudden. Reason: Terry Jones, a man behind, who wish to celebrate "International Burn a Koran (Quran) Day", during which church members would hold book burnings of the Quran, on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks…! The oldest and simplest way to become famous is revealed once again in above act. It’s not when you feel comfortable, it’s to make others feel uncomfortable. It’s not an instant or insane action. It’s a planned, well organized strategy to get noticeable enough in the eyes of world. In 2009, Dove World posted a sign on its lawn which stated in large red letters "Islam is of the Devil" and now it is going to higher level with the event of burning Quran. Terry Jones has however said that he hopes the event does not lead to violence. (Then why the bloody hell you announced the senseless event.)

#25: Case 7492_Elvira's Premonition of Death. Part II

Go to Part I He jumped the backyard wall and slowly walked ahead. The back door of kitchen was double locked so he went for the upside down sliding glass window and entered in. After stepping up the stairs for next few moments, he was in Emily’s bedroom. Emily’s innocent face was reflecting the rays of mast lights diffracted through the glass wall of balcony. He got nearer to her, pulled the knife out and raised it in air. “I won’t leave her…” Sound played in the ambience. “She wasted my life. Now she has to pay for her deeds. She too got to reach where her sister is. I won’t leave her.” The lights turned on. “Hold on Kurt…” Derick entered in the room. Emily opened her eyes. Henry and Alfred came out from the behind. “What the…” Kurt shocked looking at them. “Hell…” Henry finished his sentence. “Is straight ahead for you now…” “Drop that knife Kurt.” Derick said. “Game is over.” “Uncle…” Emily said. “I know him…” “Yes, you do.” Derick repl

#24: Case 7492_Elvira's Premonition of Death. Part I

“Weekends are as refreshing as white sand beaches here.” Henry said while gearing car to the top gear. Traffic was not much on highway because of late night. They were driving back from Rostock to Munich. “We never have weekends Henry.” Derick replied with his heavy voice. “Some jobs aren’t time lined and we should respect that thing. Doctors, Fire fighters, Police all are sort of…” By the time his cell rang. “Mr. Jefferson…” A girl was there another side. “Elvira…” Derick identified her voice vacillating. “You seem tensed.” “I just had a premonition Mr. Jefferson.” She said reluctantly. “I had seen my death.” “What…?” Derick couldn’t believed his ears. “Elvira…” “I know it’s difficult to hear what I’m saying.” She said. “But someone gonna kill me tonight. I had seen my death in front of my eyes, my last premonition ever…” “Don’t panic Elvira.” Derick said. “We have just left from Rostock so will be there tomorrow morning but I’m calling Alfred. He’ll be

#23: The Making of Kuchh Manziley Aisy...

As I had promised earlier in post #15: KMA - Can never be criticized..., here comes The making of Kuchh Manziley Aisy... KMA here after, which is, logically third but our first film that was made especially for a film festival. As in post #15: KMA - Can never be criticized..., I’ve already discussed many of the issues, we’ll move directly towards the shoot in this. The story of KMA, unlike I Might Did It, was much focused on two characters Erick and Ishita only and therefore, had freshness in spite of a heavy, serious and motivational subject for students. The only aim was to maintain that freshness on screen also and that’s why we had selected Mr. and Miss College for the main lead. On the very first day, we had opted to shoot the broke up scene of Erick and Ishita at the parking area of our Engineering College, and the peon roaming nearby had started troubling us. He came, he saw and he conquered. Not precisely like that, but he asked us to meet the principal once. And being the D

#22: Face Off_Pranab Mukherjee

#21: Blank Pages

You can perhaps rewrite your destiny… but never on paper. (Unless you are using a pencil, but no one likes to write his/her destiny with pencil. All opt for darkest marker to make sure that their written can’t be erased.) So, when there’s something already written on your page, either you have to strikethrough it (Check-chak in Gujarati) which will waste and make your current and future writing both unreadable or just you have to go for… Blank Pages…! Hope you have got the point of order, coz I hate elaborate the matters that should have been sensed. Still with no other option (the truth is I have to make the article long enough for consideration) I am going ahead with the stated idea, coz you never know when An Idea may change your life. Life always runs in a single direction. There’s nothing like coming back. When you travel to point B from A, you never return to point A. You just actually travel once again from point B to A. In the above manner, after performing an act of writin

#20: A kind of special species - Friends...

Writing my next post under Casual category, but I guess, friends can never be categorized casually. So on this friendship day, let’s recall the most uncasual (grammatically a wrong word but it’s irreplaceable with formal.) part of your life, the amazing ghosts of your life… Friends, without whom, your life is worth a ghost house. It’s really difficult to write on the simplest element of your life. Friends are those with whom you dare to be yourself without any kind of fear. It’s not that I’m promoting here but they are like my friend Mehul’s blog name, ‘Simply Complicative…’ They always claim to protect you after hitting you enough. They insist to solve your problems after creating some for you. They are the ones with whom you love to cry then laughing alone. They are another you… Friends. It’s again not that I’m promoting here but friends are like my another friend, Darshan’s blog name ‘Neet-Vasant’ and my sis Foram’s blog name ‘FORever blossAM’ too. They keep your life aromatic w

#19: Face Off_Ajmal Kasab

Disclaimer: The post is totally fictitious and resembles no real interview. Hello, aadaab, lei ho, aloha, ciao, vanakkam, salaam Namaste. This is your favourite host Shashvat Saxena back after three years in yours all time favourite show…  Face 2 face with Shashvat Saxena. Interlude drum…  As always I’ll begin the show with a question that I’ll answer at the end. And that question is… Why it took so many years in executing when it was already decided to re-launch this show? Keep thinking. Now coming back to the routine. Today our guest, the first guest of this new season, is a known personality, the man himself… Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab…! Due to security reasons, he won’t be with us in studio but we’ll have our talk on the telecommunications. Waise bhi you know that mobiles are now easily accessible in jail areas...! So on Re-launching your favourite show Face 2 face with Shashvat Saxena, Let’s welcome Mr. Kasab on phone. Please give him a big hang…, I mean big hand…! Int

#18: Case 9571_Mr. Johnson’s murder

It was raining heavily outside. Night was at its darkest. Sound of raindrops was echoing throughout the ambience except at house no 48, Schellingstraβe, Munich. “I don’t understand this at all.” Alfred murmured. “This dead body’s hands are burned, car seems scrap and god only knows why I became a cop?” “Never hate your job.” Henry said while entering inside the garage. “And don’t worry. We are here now.” “Thank god you are here.” Alfred said. “Where’s Mr. Jefferson?” “If his assistant is here, so is he too.” Henry replied. “He is having a talk with family members inside home.” “Let’s get in then.” Alfred said. They entered inside the home which was much like a palace while putting off their shoes outside as much mud was glued to them. A quite spotless hall looked sad. Kitchen was a bit chaotic. A lady was crying loudly on the couch besides a calm young boy with soiled legs. A maid was standing in a corner. And a man with a hat on his head and a pipe in his hand was sitti
