#32: A film of the lifetime...

Hi to all. Know what’s on your mind but let me confess, this ain’t also a promoting post for Maanas (Post production has just started so will do so at right time.) or this isn’t review of recently released No Problem or Band baaja baarat. “A film of the Lifetime…” is actually much more than any of the film. (Including mine ones too…) Wanna know what it is? Let’s find out.

Let’s plan a movie for this weekend. (Know I’m posting this on Sunday so you can consider it for next weekends.) There’s no need to do advance booking in any multiplex or to turn on your home theatre or laptop to see this film nor you need to buy any pirated CD/DVD (which you either shouldn’t) to watch it and just not need to worry about your money for paisa vasool guarantee of the film. Trust me, its guaranteed paisa vasool.

All set. This Sunday night (just a night before another hectic schedule for next week…) after your supper, start watching this film. (You’ll visualize a trailer too while reading this post.) You just have to take a deep breath, silent your ambience and to close your eyes. Yes, this is what all you need. Now go back… years ago… and many many years ago… try to recall your first remembrance since your birth. It can be anything and it will take time to remind what it is but it is worth remembering being the first establishing shot of your film and then… let the film roll on. I guess you know what you’ve to do. Yup, remember all the memories in FIFO order of your life. Your school days to your high school days to your college days to your jobs and further more if you’re having more footage in your life. And take time while watching them. Divide all diff. ambiences in different parts. You… at home, at school, at coaching classes, at friends’ streets, at college, at hostel, at social events of your family or relatives, at illnesses, at accidents, at parties or lot’s more according to how you’ve lived your life. There are numbers of sequences (some may have songs too…) to enjoy in a typical slow motion melodramatic style. (And you don’t need to have adobe after effects or final cut pro or Vegas 9.0 to do so. Your brain does it free of cost for you.)

Now why to do so…? Just to save few bucks on watching movies. (Which aren’t worth to watch for free too…) Nope. Nor you’ve to see this film to remind your old memories. This is to be seen to build your future. Shocking but true. This 3 hrs of movie (length depends on your memory power and your way of living life) at the night of every weekend will build your attitude to live the upcoming week. It’s your film after all. You’ve to decide the scenes you want to add in your film to visualize it on next screening. IF YOU WISH TO SEE HAPPY AND LOVING FAMILY MOMENTS TO BE TELECAST ON NEXT WEEKEND, YOU’VE TO ADD IT UP DURING YOUR TENURE OF NEXT WEEK BY SPENDING THOSE MOMENTS WITH YOUR FAMILY. Work hard and sincerely to make your film larger than life. Let the audience applause it with label of super hit and record breaking. You’re the director of your film and you’ve to decide the direction of the story of the film too. Fill all the emotions at its best. Comedy, action, romance… (And horror after marriage in some cases…!) Remember, Life has no Re-takes. Live your film Dil se… Play your character jee jaan se… And at the end of your life, you’ll really have a Magnum opus… The real Director’s cut… A Film of the Lifetime…

  2. Your film is already in pipeline of 13 Citystreets Productions... And as it's one of "the D's films" it is naturally going to get 10-20 oscars... (Figure may vary in increMENTAL order...!)

#11: I M D I – Revealed behind the camera…

Under the label of I never criticize..., I’m going to criticize my own film I Might Did It (IMDI here after in the article.) today. A brave attempt it can be said to identify the slack side of own. I won’t say it criticism but actually a kind of confession of what went wrong while the making of the film. At the beginning of pre-productions, IMDI seemed to become a real blockbuster due to its blood-chilling, gripping screenplay, the music was already admired by the listeners and frankly a team, after successful two hits of Midnight Madness and Kuchh Manziley Aisy, was confidently looking forward for its hat trick. But… Difficulties started raining two days prior to shooting schedule when Mansi (Played Ishitaa in Kuchh Manziley Aisy), casted for role of Preeti Sengupta in the film, informed that she won’t be able to attend the shoot at the state when we were already missing Hardik. The screenplay, with no other chances left, was modified on the last night before the shoot started. I

#16: On the Edge...!

A tough decision, I've taken to write this but... This is where I am right now... On the Edge...! It took 12 years and 4 months to begin the first step towards the destination of my life. In march-1998, my eyes saw a dream, a dream to become a Film Director, a dream of receiving Filmfair award and in reply to that a thanksgiving speech. (that i still murmur all the time, off course with some changes always.) A 13 year old boy had seen the future. Time went on and I started realizing that it's not easy to get in the industry. What to do now to get in? What if I give all the things for what a producer needs to hire many persons. I started composing songs. Stories were my companion since long and I believed (others too..!) that I can dance really well. So I had now story, screenplays and songs written as well as composed, and I can serve as choreographer, cinematographer and as an editor too. My confidence started boosting. I kept doing my work with my studies for next ten years

#23: The Making of Kuchh Manziley Aisy...

As I had promised earlier in post #15: KMA - Can never be criticized..., here comes The making of Kuchh Manziley Aisy... KMA here after, which is, logically third but our first film that was made especially for a film festival. As in post #15: KMA - Can never be criticized..., I’ve already discussed many of the issues, we’ll move directly towards the shoot in this. The story of KMA, unlike I Might Did It, was much focused on two characters Erick and Ishita only and therefore, had freshness in spite of a heavy, serious and motivational subject for students. The only aim was to maintain that freshness on screen also and that’s why we had selected Mr. and Miss College for the main lead. On the very first day, we had opted to shoot the broke up scene of Erick and Ishita at the parking area of our Engineering College, and the peon roaming nearby had started troubling us. He came, he saw and he conquered. Not precisely like that, but he asked us to meet the principal once. And being the D
